If Jason and I could give any newly engaged couple one piece of advice, it would be this: hire Irena as your planner. Opting for her full-service planning was the best decision we made! We came into the process not knowing where to start, but Irena guided us through every step. At each meeting, she broke down what tasks we needed to tackle that month, making the entire planning process feel completely effortless.
Our venue, Greystone Mansion, has a lot of specific rules, but Irena is incredibly diligent and knowledgeable. We kept waiting for the notorious 'wedding planning stress' to hit, but it never did—and we firmly believe Irena is the reason why! She handled all the logistics and vendor communications, leaving us to simply enjoy the fun parts of planning, like tastings and selecting our vendor team.
A huge priority for us was making sure the day was relaxed and enjoyable for both us and our families. Because Irena had meticulously prepared her team and our vendors, no one had to worry about a thing. Even our vendors were raving about how wonderful she was to work with and how informed they felt leading up to the big day. Nothing ever felt overwhelming because Irena always knew exactly what to do, allowing us to genuinely enjoy our wedding day instead of micromanaging details.
Our guests all shared how perfect our wedding was, but we know it was all thanks to Irena. We feel so grateful to have built such a wonderful relationship with her, and we are already telling all our friends with upcoming weddings about the S&R team. Irena, thank you so much for being the reason we had the best day of our lives. If we could do it all over again, we’d choose you every single time!

Working with Irena and the Silk & Ribbon team was truly one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our wedding! We first met Irena at an Orange County bridal show, where she immediately stood out to my mom and me. From that very first conversation, she made us feel reassured, supported, and confident that our wedding day would be in great hands.
Although our wedding was two years in the making, Irena was there for us throughout the planning process. As we got closer to the wedding, she met with us monthly, answered all of our questions, and gave us clear deadlines and tasks to complete each month. Having that guidance made the planning process feel so much more manageable, and we always appreciated how available and responsive she was whenever questions came up.
On our wedding day, Irena and her team were incredible. Everything ran smoothly and on schedule, and they seamlessly coordinated with all of our vendors behind the scenes. One of my biggest concerns was that either my mom or I would end up having to “run the show” instead of actually enjoying the day. Thanks to Irena, we never had to worry about that. She took care of everything, allowing my husband and me to be completely present and enjoy every moment of our wedding with our family and friends.

Irena is everything you want and need in a wedding coordinator! She is incredibly kind; Irena always prioritized our feelings and our time even at the expense of her own. She is passionate; having worked with Irena, it's so clear to us that she loves the work that she's doing and was truly invested in making sure we had the PERFECT wedding. She is perceptive; Irena was always quick to help transform our ideas into reality.
For our wedding, we opted to work with Irena via her Partial Planning Package since we had already booked our venue. Even though we hadn't officially started working with Irena yet, she went out of her way to recommend vendors and even gave us action items to complete before our initial meeting. This helped ensure that we'd have more than enough time to cover all the little details in our 6 months together.
Speaking of vendor recommendations, all of the vendors that Irena recommended were incredibly personable and easy to work with. These vendors also had raving reviews of Irena and her work; truly a testament to the network that she's been able to build.
Even under an incredibly stressful situation where our Wedding DJ had cancelled three hours before our ceremony due to a medical emergency; Irena was calm (when we were not ). Despite all the little details in our timeline like specific time stamps for different entrances and pronunciation notes, Irena had the perfect plan to bring the back up DJ up to speed. Thanks to this, we could focus on enjoying our wedding day and to Irena's credit, the DJ didn't miss a single beat.
Our only regret in working with Irena, is that we couldn't be guests to the wonderful event that she helped us plan. All of our guests emphasized how this was one of the best weddings that they had ever been to and we really owe so much of this to Irena and her team. We HIGHLY recommend working with Irena and Silk & Ribbon for all your wedding needs.

We truly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding coordinator than Irena. From start to finish, she was an absolute joy to work with. She made sure our entire day ran smoothly, and we never worried about anything.
Irena was always so lovely to chat with. She is kind, patient, and was genuinely interested in making our day perfect. She was quick to respond and stayed communicative throughout the whole process, which gave us so much peace of mind. We never once felt like we were being upsold or brushed off. Her professionalism and warmth shined through in every interaction.
Our wedding was on the smaller side and we chose to do a few things differently, skipping some of the more traditional things like a grand entrance or a full bridal party procession. Irena was wonderfully supportive of all of our choices. She never made us feel like we were missing anything or that our ideas were unusual. She just cared about making sure our day was perfect for us!
Even our other vendors commented on how wonderful her and her team were to work with. It really felt like she went above and beyond to make sure everyone was on the same page and that everything came together seamlessly.

Irena and her team made our wedding flow seamlesly! We hired Irena as a Day of Coordinator for our wedding on October 11th, 2025 and we honestly couldn't have done it without her!
She met with us three months prior to start assisting us with the planning and she took over the communication with all vendors to gather insurance info and make sure everyone would arrive on time, where to park, etc, which was such a relief for us!
We honestly wish we would have gone with the Full Planning package and made her our full-service planner. Our wedding was perfect because of Irena and her team. They made sure everything was set up exactly how I wanted and helped the day flow as smoothly as possible. Very professional and great communication. Everyone planning a wedding needs the Silk and Ribbon Events touch. Synonymously, everyone needs an Irena.
Irena worked with us starting 6 months out from our date. We opted for the Partial Planning Package and I cannot recommend this enough. We had already chosen our venue but the subsequent details/ planning/ coordination that came after was very daunting and added up QUICKLY. We needed a wedding planner not only to keep us organized, but also to keep us within our BUDGET. Irena executed on both accounts flawlessly and meticulously.
Not to mention - she has TASTE. Without her inputs on design decisions, I would have gone insane. Irena was incredibly collaborative and organized and methodical. We felt so prepared for everything because of how structured and detailed our timeline was. There was so much vendor coordination on the back end that we didn't have to worry about because Irena was on top of it.
She is an excellent communicator and really was our champion throughout the entire wedding planning and wedding day process. So much so, that when it came time to get married, getting married was the only thing we had to worry about.
As an example, the external sole of my mom's heel ripped off 10 minutes before we were poised to walk down the aisle and Irena swooped in with truly 3 different types of tape to put it back together. In any other circumstance, this would warrant a melt down but Irena quickly put out that fire as if it was nothing.
From the rehearsal, to wedding set up and take down, Irena had it covered. She was discreet, effective, and always brought a positive attitude. Irena took our vision and brought it to fruition then proceeded to manage the event immaculately. Our wedding was the best day of our life and that is because of Irena and Silk and Ribbon Events.

Irena and her team were the best!!! We hired Irena as a wedding planner and it was the best decision ever. I was looking for a day-of coordinator to help with the last minute vendor coordination/details for my SoCal wedding and Irena definitely went above and beyond! I was very hands on throughout the planning process and was SO happy to have all the planning handed off, especially by Irena who is so thoughtful and professional. She and I got along beautifully and she understood everything I wanted which made the wedding turn out perfectly. Irena was so great about creating and making recommendations to my timeline and details that would make sense logistically and meet our vision. She is so great at organizing schedules, deadlines, and meetings. I don’t know what I would’ve done without her.
She was very knowledgeable about everything we needed to do, and she was with us every step of the way. She made our lives much less stressful (especially day of the wedding) and I can't imagine having planned our wedding without her. As for the wedding day, everything was perfect and went without a hitch! She set everything up perfectly, fixed the problems that arose day of professionally, and made my day so so special and memorable. She and her design/flower team beautifully arranged flowers, decor, and made everything from my Pinterest board come to life. I highly recommend!
